Haya Acoustics & Arts is a design studio specializing in the planning and consulting of sound environments within architecture and spatial design.
We strive to create comfortable, human‑friendly acoustic environments across a wide range of spaces such as workplaces, hotels, commercial facilities, cinemas, and multipurpose halls.
Haya Acoustics & Arts is a specialist in designing comfortable sound environments, drawing on over 30 years of experience across diverse projects. From professional facilities such as concert halls, cinemas, and studios to workplaces, hotels, restaurants, and retail spaces, we bring deep expertise in acoustic design to every project.
In recent years, we have contributed to numerous workplace projects for international companies, collaborating with designers and consultants both in Japan and abroad. By shaping the invisible element of sound, we enhance the overall quality of spaces and create environments that feel balanced, welcoming, and refined.

Modern workplaces are a collection of diverse spaces, from boardrooms that symbolize corporate identity, to cafés that spark lively dialogue, and multipurpose halls that adapt to various needs. At Haya Acoustics & Arts, we deeply understand our clients’ vision for how they want to work and the intent behind their interior design. With our expertise, we deliver acoustic environments that best support those goals. We also provide specialized support for projects pursuing LEED or WELL certification, ensuring that acoustic criteria are successfully met as part of the overall sustainability and wellness objectives.
In hotels, restaurants, cafés, and retail spaces, visual luxury does not always align with acoustic quality. Challenges such as “beautiful interiors where conversation doesn’t flow” or “spaces that feel noisy and unsettled” often arise from a lack of acoustic planning.
Drawing on extensive experience, Haya Acoustics & Arts supports the creation of sound environments tailored to each spatial concept. We also collaborate with specialized designers to integrate soundscape design, actively incorporating “ambient sounds” that enrich the atmosphere and enhance the overall experience.
Ideally, halls are designed specifically for the performances they host. However, in today’s projects, versatility is often required to accommodate a wide range of uses. At Haya Acoustics & Arts, we draw on extensive practical experience across diverse spaces. From live music venues and auditoriums to gymnasiums, to deliver acoustic solutions that meet complex demands. We carefully consider both the architectural context (such as surrounding environment and local character) and the operational aspects (such as usage methods and design concepts). By integrating these perspectives, we identify the “optimal solution” for the hall’s acoustic performance within given constraints, ensuring uncompromising support for high‑quality spatial design.
Since the rise of cinema complexes in the 1990s, we have been involved in projects across Japan, evolving alongside the transformation of movie spaces. Our strength lies not only in mastering the standard cinema complex style, but also in our flexible design approach that goes beyond conventional frameworks. By combining spatial design expertise honed through diverse projects, from halls to commercial facilities, with advanced acoustic technology, Haya Acoustics & Arts brings to life cinema environments that are both original and boldly innovative.
Based on the client’s requirements and the intended use of the space, we quantify the otherwise invisible acoustic parameters. We identify fundamental project elements such as room layout and wall structures, and develop a guiding acoustic design scenario.
Design Development
Design Development
Building on the scenario established in the schematic design, we collaborate with architects to translate acoustic requirements into detailed specifications, shaping the space accordingly.
Construction
Construction
To ensure the designed acoustic environment is faithfully realized, we maintain close communication with the construction team, monitor site conditions, and perform rigorous quality control from the perspective of acoustic performance.
Completion
Completion
In addition to participating in final inspections, we conduct acoustic performance measurements as needed. This provides an objective evaluation of whether the intended acoustic environment has been achieved, thereby validating the project’s overall quality.
